Programs that may lead to a certification of some sort and are typically aimed at giving a boost to workers' employability and earnings. (i.e Aveda/beauty school, Real Estate, EMT, Police Academy, and more)
Requirements: Depend on the particular job training program that you go into. You will need to research specific programs/ certifications related to your career of interest.
Requirements may include...
High School Transcripts- school/program reviews cumulative GPA typically on scale of 4.0 and class rigor. Class rigor is the challenging courses you choose to take, such as honor and advanced placement.
ACT/ SAT Exam- ACT (American College Testing) or SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) are the two main college admission exams. These standardized tests are geared to analyze a students college readiness. Many schools are currently test optional, so it is important to do your research.
Letters of Recommendation- Letter written by a teacher, coach, or previous employer who can speak on your behave. Highlighting your skills, abilities, and character.
Interview/ Portfolio/Audition- Based off of school and program of study, some schools may require an interview, portfolio, or audition into the school or specific major.

Do your research! Job Training programs are very specific to a career. Make sure you have explored the career and know it will be a good fit for you.
Connect with professionals- Many professionals have suggestions on which program to train through or suggestions of companies to reach out to. You do not need to do this on your own. Network!
