1. Explore jobs openings

• LHS Job Board (posted in Class of 20xx google classroom), Indeed, Monster, Job Center of Wisconsin, or create a Linkedin account

• You could also talk with local businesses, family, friends, or a trusted LHS adult to support your search

2. Update or build a resume

• Resume Templates- #1 or #2

• Resume building Tips

3. Practice Interviewing Skills

• Article: 6 Interviewing Skills That will Get You Hired  

• Indeed’s- 125 Common Interview Questions and TIPS! 

4. Complete Application

• Many application sources are now online

• If they require an LHS transcript, send your transcript

• Make sure to check for... 

  • • deadlines for application 

    • spelling or grammar errors

    • that all portions of the application are complete

5. Determine References 

• References could be previous employers, coaches, teachers, or another NON- relative adults

• Make sure to ask if they will be your reference and update them on your application process
