Background:
Richard Ramira II was the son of a Navy Captain and although he too was in the Navy for 6 years, he gained his most success as a carpenter in the Chicagoland area. He had his own contracting firm and would build and remodel homes for very wealthy clients.
He married when he was 28, to a girl he met while stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base. His youngest daughter, Rachelle, was his closest child. He and Rachelle had breakfast once a week at a local diner, a tradition that they had kept up for the past 15 years. It was the most special time of the week for both of them.
When Rachelle won the lottery, Richard told her to rip up the ticket. He had a feeling that it would be nothing but trouble. Richard was also not at all fond of her boyfriend, Mark Kotter. He complained that Mark was lazy, only loved her for her money and that he didn't trust him.
