What is your connection with Rachelle?
I'm her aunt.
Who was Rachelle hanging out with most?
I don't know all her friends, but I did see her with her friend Brittany, and the red-head, Amber.
Where were you when Rachelle died?
I didn't find out she died until the morning, so I don't know when it happened.
Who did Rachelle eat dinner with?
She ate with the two girls and Mark stopped by the table a couple of times.
When did you leave the party?
Shortly after Rachelle left. At about 10:30.
Did you have any grudges with Rachelle?
No, we were close as sisters, even after I married.
Did you bring any of your professional clothes on the trip?
Well, since I came straight from work on Friday, I did have my medical bag and lab coat in my room.
In your medical bag, there was GHB. Why?
I deal with some fibromyalgia and often have difficulty sleeping, particularly on a ship. GHB, in a very tiny dose, helps me sleep when really stressed. I have a prescription if you'd like to see it.
Do you have any ideas about who may have gone through your bag?
No, but I did leave my room door open so my family could stop by and say hello whenever they wanted.
Was anything missing from your bag?
Nothing was missing as far as I can tell, but it did seem as though someone went through my stuff.
Why would someone go through your bag?
It's possible that someone was looking for medicine. I know Rachelle was sick, so maybe someone was looking for something, but no one asked me.
Do you know anything about GHB?
Of course. It's Gamma Hydroxybutyrate. It's a drug used to treat narcolepsy but it can be also used as a sedative. I had some in my bag. Do you think that was taken?
Do you know about the side effects?
Well, it can cause nausea, vomiting, sleepiness. If too much is taken, it could cause a coma or even death. Is that what the police think happened to Rachelle?
We're not able to say anything at this time.
