Kindergarten math provides the foundation for all math to follow this grade level. Like building a house, a solid foundation is essential! Foundational skills are explained in the below attachments in addition to a set of skills student should know and be able to demonstrate independently by the end of the school year. Acquiring a conceptual understanding of numbers, one-to-one correspondence, counting up, understanding the language of math, beginning factions (parts to the whole), and geometry make up the kindergarten math units.
