From the moment I started Kindergarten, I knew I wanted to be an elementary school teacher. Not for one moment did I change my mind regarding career choice. It was no surprise to anyone in 2010 when I graduated from Saint Vincent College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-6. As I worked in different elementary schools and gained more experience, there was no denying the impact that technology was having on learning. I started to become fascinated with the different ways that technology could fit into the classroom. When the opportunity arose to get a degree in Instructional Design and Technology, I knew it was for me. I will finish this journey in August 2020.
As I am finishing this program, I am thinking about all of the opportunities ahead of me and what this experience has taught me. Though I want to continue my teaching of K-6 classrooms, I also want to pursue a teacher leader position where I can be a resource to teachers and students regarding new ideas for technology tools and how to use them. My technology fluency and confidence is growing everyday.
