LTISD Middle School Course Catalog
2026-2027

This middle school course catalog has been developed to provide information to students and parents regarding courses available in grades 6, 7, and 8. It provides a brief description of each course offered, lists any prerequisites or special requirements and gives information on promotion requirements, schedule change policy, and placement process. The goal of the middle schools in the Lake Travis Independent School District is to provide a challenging academic program in a supportive school environment. We encourage middle school students to explore a variety of courses from our elective offerings.

Since students are making selections for the entire year, it is imperative that parents and students work together during this process.  As always, counselors and teachers are available to meet with students and their parents to discuss course descriptions and selections in an effort to help students make the best possible choices. Students and parents are encouraged to use this guide and the middle school support staff to help make appropriate course selections.  All students are not guaranteed their first choice of elective, but every effort is made to have at least 1 of the top 3 choices.
