The cadets manage the entire corps. It allows the cadets to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, control, and make decisions. They will put into practice their communication, decision-making, personal interaction, managerial, and organizational skills and lead MA-771 to succeed in the proposed Unit Goals

"Hello! I am David Morais, the Wing Commander of MA-771. As Wing Commander, I oversee the cadet corps, work with our instructors and senior staff, and help maintain the high standards of our unit.

Within AFJROTC, I have been a member of the Drill Team and Elite Honor Guard for four years, serving as Armed Drill Team Captain and commanding the Armed Regulation and Color Guard.

I also participated in JLAB for two years.

Outside of AFJROTC, I am Captain of the Lowell High School Varsity Swim Team and participate in the Tenacity Challenge and National Honor Society. In my free time, I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my family and friends."

"Hi! My name is Peter Cote and I am your Vice Wing Commander. As Vice Wing Commander, I assist the Wing Commander in overseeing the corps and ensuring cadet staff perform their duties effectively. My responsibilities include coordinating activities, communicating with instructors and staff, maintaining organization within the wing, managing staff meetings, and supporting the planning and execution of major events.
Within JROTC I serve as the Unarmed Drill Team Captain and Color Guard Commander and participate in Honor Guard and JLAB. Outside of JROTC I am the Senior Class Senator, appointed member of the Lowell School Committee, President of Student Voice and Social Media, Student Ambassador, and member of National Honors Society. In addition, I work part time as a Courtesy Booth Clerk and in my free time I enjoy reading murder mystery books!"

"My position sets me up as the bridge of communication between the wing commander, the officers of the program and the enlisted cadets of the core. When i'm not taking care of reports to the instructors i'm mainly In charge of supporting any part of the program that needs assistance. Outside of AFJROTC I try expanding how much music i can play, I am enrolled in the Lowell high school marching band and Indoor percussion ensemble, playing the drum set but also trying any other instrument that interest me."

OPERATIONS GROUP COMMANDER

"Hi! My name is Ashley Zaruma and I am the Operations Group Commander. The Operations Group is broken down into two main parts: Squadrons & Community Service. As the Operations Commander, I am primarily responsible for Corps management, Corps communication, and recruitment. I work closely with Squadron Commanders to ensure the flight commanders are constantly informed, as well as with the Community Service Director to plan and organize community service events.

Outside of AFJROTC, I am part of the Latin Lyceum, Vice President of Red Cross Club and Student Ambassador, Treasurer of National Honor Society, Varsity Tennis, and am a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). In my free time, I enjoy baking, hanging out with my friends, hiking, and trying new foods!"

"Hi! My name is Lily Kin, and I am the backbone of the unit as I manage the most amount of groups. I oversee and work with public affairs, PT, personnel, civil engineering, and community service. Outside of AFJROTC, I am the captain of the Lowell High Swim Team! I also participate and compete in clubs such as Science League and HOSA. Back in April of 2026, I actually qualified for the HOSA international conference in nursing assisting!"

LOGISTICS GROUP COMMANDER

"Hi, I’m Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Nariya Haley and I am the Logistics Group Commander for the 2026-2027 school year. My job is to work with my staff to ensure Logistics is running smoothly. I direct my team on managing and issuing uniforms, managing inventory and ensuring Logistics stays organized. Outside of JROTC and school, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, baking, and overall just having a good time.

I am also the Honor Guard Commander for MA-771. As Honor Guard Commander, I help organize and lead all Honor Guard events to ensure our unit is represented with pride. By working with our instructors, I present the best possible image of MA-771 during events. When not at an event, I like to spend time with those I care about. I also work in a customer service setting, where I learn to grow and help others."
