To support and enhance the Longmeadow High School Mission and School Wide Expectations, the LHS Media Center offers new and up-to-date print and digital resources to maximize student learning in the 21st Century. We have content rich databases and print reference books that support the curriculum and can be accessed from home and school. We now include e-books, along with print books that allow students the flexibility to read anywhere, anytime. Students and staff can read on a Kindle, use an IPAD or have access to laptops, a reference lab that includes computers and an Apple TV connected to an interactive Smartboard. Four collaborative media learning spaces equipped with a computer and large screen will be available for student use. A copy machine is available for student use and wireless access is available in the Media Center.

Our online card catalog can be accessed at home or school from our website or directly at http://library.longmeadow.k12.ma.us

In order to provide our students with digital access, our website will be the hub for reference and curriculum resources and allow the students and staff to be connected from home and school. Web-based resources, subscription databases and e-books will be accessible.

To support the curriculum and research projects at LHS, our website will be the place for students to streamline the process. Students will find what they need in the collection of over 1,000 e-book reference resources, databases and print collection. They can access library materials from home with over 100,000 online resources, including journal articles, e-books and newspapers. Connect with the library and explore the available resources.

The National Honor Society Executive Board and NHS members have created a National Honor Society Tutoring Drop-In Center located in the LHS Media Center. This center will provide a supportive academic environment where students may come and receive extra help and support with schoolwork and assignments from NHS students.
