To receive a LHS diploma a student must meet the following standards:

1. A minimum of ninety-four (94) credits must be earned in grades nine (9) through twelve (12), distributed in the subject areas indicated below.
   • English 20 credits (English 1, 2, 3, 4)
   • World History (2 courses) 10 credits
   • United States History 5 credits
   • Math (2 courses) 10 credits
   • Science (2 foundation courses) 11 credits
   • Wellness credits (Wellness 9, 10, 11, 12)
   • Health 2 credits
   • Electives 32 credits
2. Achieve a passing score, as determined by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, in the required MCAS tests.

Students who transfer into Longmeadow High School must submit an official transcript from their prior high school. The Director of School Counseling is responsible for determining the level of transfer credit applicable to scheduling and graduation requirements.
