Medical respite provides short term residential care for people experiencing homelessness and recovering from an acute health condition.
People in a medical respite program have a temporary place to live while receiving care for their recovery, as well as support finding a permanent housing option.
Eligibility Requirements:
Currently experiencing homelessness
Primary diagnosis is medical
Experiencing acute medical needs which can be associated with a chronic condition
Can live independently without medical assistance
Disqualifiers
Self-referrals
Active suicidal or homicidal thoughts
Stable chronic medical conditions or an absence of medical need
