School description

EPAR – Escola Profissional Almirante Reis, was founded on November 2, 1992 and has always assumed itself as a humanist institution.

In 2017, it joined the ENSINUS Group, a group with around 50 years of activity and is formed by a set of business organizations, entirely dedicated to education and teaching at all levels and degrees, from pre-school education to higher education, including vocational education and training, consultancy and applied research.

In 2018, it moved to number 9, Largo do Leão, in the heart of Lisbon, expanding its structure, team and, in particular, its vision of student-centered teaching and a new person profile.

Towards the objective of constant improvement, the Institution has as key principles: the person, the team, knowledge, participation and appreciation of learning, diversity, equal opportunities, tolerance, democracy, solidarity and openness to society.

These key principles are the starting point for its identity matrix, which translates into the pursuit of the following objectives:

– Promoting the integral training of young people and their professional insertion, stimulating their creative spirit and critical sense;

– Promoting teamwork and the civic and ethical training of male and female students;

– Enhancing the best of each young person by setting individual objectives and goals that lead to their personal development;

– To be an inclusive and multicultural school that sees the differentiating factors as enriching the collective of its educational community;

– Promoting the inclusion of the school in the surrounding environment, in various contexts: business, work, social and cultural;

– Involve the entire educational community in the activities and functioning of the school.

The EPARMOVE 5 Project is an international mobility project promoted by EPAR.

The project, in addition to creating opportunities for training and personal development, also appears as an element that strengthens the exchange of experiences, know-how and international cooperation networks, either through the students' experiences or through the enrichment of team management. of EPAR trainers involved throughout the program.
