In 3rd Grade everything from previous years is continued and we start to learn more musical vocabulary such as crescendo, fermata, etc. We continue to work on singing, solfege skills, and instrumental techniques. New rhythms this year include many variations using sixteenth notes such as tiki-tiki (4 beamed 16th notes), ti-tiki (an eighth note beamed to two sixteenths) and a tiki-ti (two sixteenths beamed to an eighth note).
