  • Write down your questions in your journal and share with your group and the class.

• Complete your independent reading during this time

  • As you read, write down 3 questions about the book that you can pose to your group members in your journal. 

  • Students who are reading verse novels and finish reading early should read their independent reading books.

• Book Club Discussion: talk about your questions. 

• Next, as a group, please add to your mind map

  • Stop and talk about what you visualized

  • Ask questions

• If necessary, finish painting the image from the previous class. We will share these in a gallery walk next class.

At-Home:

Please continue to read your books independently, especially if you are reading a prose book that might require more reading time at home.
