• Read your book independently for 10 minutes.

• Finish your children's book using motifs and a theme.

• Trace the motifs and themes that appear in the various children's books as you rotate from one station to the next.

• Select one book. In your journal, write an explanation on how the motifs contribute to the ultimate theme in the book you selected.

• Take-aways: what is a motif? What is a theme?
