Need to Talk?

Is your concern an urgent one? (Urgent means you are worried about your safety or the safety of others.)

If it's NOT an urgent matter...

Please complete a student request form. Scroll below or click here to complete it! Be sure to read the information attached to the form before completing it.

If it is urgent, you may be experiencing a crisis.

Your future depends on it.

And because we care about you.

If you are not at school when experiencing a crisis, tell a trusted adult immediately!

If you are at school, tell a teacher that it is urgent and that you need to speak with Ms. Ballentine immediately. They can either send you to my office or call my office to see if I have another student currently in my office before sending you. We will get through it together.

If you are experiencing a crisis when at home, you may contact the appropriate hotline. Click the button below to go to those resources.

Mental health is a huge part of overall health and should be a priority for everyone, whether you have a mental health condition or not.

There is no health without mental health.

We all have mental health challenges, and if you are struggling right now, know that You Are Not Alone.

We’re all in this together. If you need crisis support, text NAMI to 741741.

Important! If you email me...

I may not immediately respond! My office hours are 7:45 AM until 3:45 PM Monday-Friday, unless it's a school holiday. If you email me outside of these hours concerning a crisis, I will not see it, so please contact a crisis hotline for immediate help. You are welcome to submit a counseling request form as well so that I can check in on you the next school day. If you request a counseling session with me via email, I will respond back to you during office hours. Please let me know if you have any questions. My email is kballentine@lex2.org. I appreciate your understanding!
