Get to Know Mrs. Grasso, 6th & 7th Grade Counselor
Where I'm From: I was born and raised in New England. My family and I relocated to Irmo, South Carolina back in 2021 where we are proudly raising our family!
Interests: Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, trying new restaurants, frequently visiting Disney, and getting lost in a good book. I’m also a huge fan of all things Harry Potter!
Education: I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Worcester State University and my Master of Science in School Counseling.
Experience: I spent the first five years of my career working in early childhood education and kindergarten before deciding to make the move to middle school counseling. I was fortunate to spend most of the 2025–2026 school year at Fulmer before officially becoming a Falcon!
Get to Know Ms. Ballentine, 8th Grade Counselor
Where I'm From: I grew up in Gaston, South Carolina. I attended Wood Elementary, Pine Ridge Middle, and Airport High. Lexington School District 2 is home!
Interests: I love to spend time with loved ones, explore the river walk, travel, and try new restaurants. If you can't tell, I'm an extreme extravert!
Education: I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Middle Level Education with concentrations in mathematics and English from USC Aiken and my Master of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University.
Experience: I taught middle school ELA for 2.5 years before beginning my Master's degree in School Counseling. The 2023-2024 school year will be my fifth year serving as a Professional School Counselor and as a Falcon!
