We’ve all seen them, but what is known about them? Buildings such as the Yogo Inn, the public library, and more will be historically delved into.

The Yogo Inn resides on the exact geographical center point of the state. The Yogo Inn started out as a train depot in early Lewistown, coinciding with the Westfeeds site located nearby.

The Broadway Apartment building, located near the center of the town close to the courthouse, was an apartment building somewhat known in the town.

The Lewistown Public Library otherwise known as the Carnegie Library was built in 1905, and finally opened in 1908. This was due to the city not having the funds to install electricity, heaters, furniture, and the hiring of staff.

St. Leo’s Catholic Church was officially finished and dedicated on November 12, 1916. The architectural design incorporates a blend of Italian Early Christian and Romanesque styling on a Roman cross plan

The Silk Stocking Historic district of Lewistown is a region or district where several prominent families built their mansion style homes. Most of the houses in the district were built in a period spanning from 1904 to 1915.
