All of the teams did exceptionally well! After Cheerfest I asked the coaches from Fergus a couple of questions, and these were their answers!

A= Alex Lamb (assistant coach) T= Taylre Sweeney (head coach)

Q: What were you most nervous about before and/or during Cheerfest?

A: That someone would get hurt and we wouldn’t be able to finish the routine.

T: I was most nervous about our performance at Cheerfest. We were making last minute changes which is always a struggle. I was also nervous about the music because I always seem to mess it up.

Q: What do you think was the most memorable thing at Cheerfest?

A: Watching everyone work so hard and doing so well! Listening to everyone gasp when they saw the basket toss during the routine and the team getting so excited about the the whole thing.

T: The most memorable thing about Cheerfest was seeing all the hard work pay off, as well as to see the smiles and joy on all of your faces!

Q: When your cheer team was getting ready for Cheerfest through the season, what were you most excited to see at the competition?

A: The different competition we would be competing against, and to see how well we stepped it up and gained confidence in themselves that they could nail it!

T: I was most excited to see other team’s performances, it is always good to see other teams and new ideas from other coaches. It's always fun to have competition as well. It makes us work harder!

Q: What did you enjoy most throughout the season preparing for and performing at Cheerfest?

A: Being a part of the team and watching all the highs that come along with it. Seeing the success in getting two first place trophies, and a third place trophy!

T: What I enjoyed most is the fun we had and the bonds we created throughout the year. It's a bittersweet moment, being our seniors’ last performance.

Q: What do you think will come up next year?

A: I think anything could come up! There’s always new talent, new ideas, changes, and excitement so I think anything could come up!

T: I’m excited to get started on next year’s performance, I have already started brainstorming ideas. I think working with the cheerleaders from the beginning of the year will be beneficial as well. We saw a lot of good competition this year, and I’m excited to step up our game and bring home the 1st place trophy next year!
