In Maths, this week we have been celebrating Maths Week London. We have been looking at a range of different maps and learning about coordinates. We also created our own maps and put different objects in different coordinates. In Writing, we have been busy writing diary entries from George based on our book George's Marvellous Medicine. We looked at the different features of a diary entry and identified them in a range of different examples. We thought carefully about using adverbs of manners and time. In RE, we have been learning about Hajj and we wrote a postcard imagining we have been visiting our favourite place. In Science we have been learning about what animals need to survive and used this information to create a survival poster. Dolphins had a fantastic time taking part in a range of different activities during their Sports Day. In PE, this half term we have been practising our bowling skills for Cricket. In DT, we have been creating our monsters using different levers. In Financial Education we have been learning about saving money and reducing the use of energy. We created our superheroes and gave them superpowers to help reduce the use of energy.

Our topic is: 'What is it like to live by the coast?'

Maths: In Maths, we will be completing revision on our year 2 learning.

Writing: In Writing, we will be writing a setting description based on the book The Tower Bridge Cat. 

Science: In Science, we will be learning about healthy lifestyles and balanced diet. 

Geography: in Geography, we will be learning the human features of a coastline. 

RE: In RE, we will be consolidating our learning on Hajj.
