English - This week children have been writing a narrative linked to our book 'Letters from the Lighthouse' focusing on the two main characters Esther and Olive and an argument between them.

Maths - Children have been learning to read graphs and use the information from them to answer questions. Children have also been learning to work out the average from a set of data.

Geography -  Children consolidated their learning this week by writing to a local planning officer advising on energy sources to be used in a new town.

Art -  This week children finished their mixed media portraits and showed them to other classes in our art fair.

English -  We will be starting out new text 'Shackleton's Journey' and will be writing letters asking to join Shackleton on his great expedition.

Maths -  Continuing to look at graphs and problem solving.

History - Children will be learning about the Sikh Empire.
