Penguins really enjoyed our visit to St.Marks church and were able to recall a lot of facts about the church and the upcoming Easter celebrations. Their behaviour was immaculate in the church and during the walk, and we were very proud of them!  In maths we have been finding the difference between two amounts in word problems. In English we have written our own story about Lila and the Secret of Rain focusing on structuring a beginning a middle and an end.  We have just completed our termly phonic assessments. Next term will  focus on preparing the children for the National Phonics Screening that is taking place in June. 

Maths -  We will start a new topic on multiplication. We will be looking at equal groups and adding equal groups together.

English -  We will beginning Poetry - looking at The Nut Tree by Julia Donaldson.

Science - We will start our new topic on plants, looking at what is a plant and the parts of a plant. 

History-  We will be beginning our explorers topic.

Art - Our new topic is Flora and Fauna. We will be looking at various artists who use Flora and Fauna in their work and making a sketch of our favourite piece of work.
