Last week we had a fantastic day for the Teddy's Bears Picnic. We made our sandwiches in the morning and then wrote instructions to inform others on how to make a sandwich. We then took our teddy to lunch to eat with us! In the afternoon we went outside and had a great picnic all together and then played lots of games. 

This week in English we have started our new story 'Paddington'. We immersed ourselves in the story and acted out different scenes from the book. In maths we focussed on one more and one less, and also started learning how to write the number words. In history we looked at our memories and created a memory box. In science we recapped on the seasons and used data to help us determine which season has the most daylight hours and which one has the least.  

 Our topic for the half term is Teddy Travels

Maths - We will be starting to look at simple addition.  

English - We will continue to read Paddington and write a retell of the story.

Science - We will look at the changes in trees over the four different seasons. 

History - We will be looking at the similarities and differences of how we have celebrated our birthdays in the past.                      

Art - We will look at drawing objects without taking our pencil off the page.
