Lions have been very busy the last few weeks. We finished our diary writing in the role of Akimbo and have started to look at non-chronological reports. In maths, we have been adding and subtracting using the column method. We have been adding and subtracting numbers where regrouping is needed too.  During our science lessons we have been learning about vertebrates and invertebrates and during our geography lessons we have been learning about the Maasai Tribe in preparation for our Africa Day next week. In music, the children have been composing an accompaniment to a song we have learnt during previous lessons. 

Next week, we will be continuing with our non-chronological reports during English and writing about elephants. In maths, we will continue with subtraction and ensuring we can use the column method, when regrouping is needed. Next week we will also finish our Amazing Africa topic and will take part in our Africa Day. We will also complete our science learning and see how much we have remembered by completing a quiz.
