RECEPTION

This week we have been reading Goldilocks and The Three Bears; we think that Goldilocks came into our classroom and left a trail of porridge! We have been retelling the story, looking at what speech bubbles are and we have imagined what the characters would be saying in the story. We have been learning about different 'size' vocabulary and we have been using this to describe the bears chairs, beds and bowls of porridge. 

We have been on a nature walk where we picked up leaves, flowers, grass and twigs to assemble our bug hotel. We hope that this makes it inviting for lots of mini beasts. 

Maths - We will be looking at different 2D shapes and will go on a shape hunt around the school to try and find them. 

English/Phonics - We will be creating our own story maps which will help us to retell We're Going on a Bear Hunt. 

Understanding the world - We will be discussing different role models and understanding the similarities and differences between different textures. 

Expressive art and design- We will be transforming objects using paint and patterns.
