Year 4 have kicked off our new English unit with the book, 'Escape from Pompeii'. This week, we have looked specifically at features of poems and have planned and written our own poem about the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius, focusing on using interesting descriptive language.
In Maths, we have begun our new chapter, 'Number and Place Value'. This week, we recognised the value of each digit in 4 digit numbers before comparing and ordering numbers up to 10,000.
Our History topic this half term is, 'The Anglo Saxons'. We started the topic by focusing on why the Saxons invaded Britain.
In our Science lessons this term, we will be looking at 'Animals Including Humans.' This week, we looked at each part of the human digestive system and described its functions.
In our art lesson we made visual notes on 2 artists, Laura Carlin and Inbal Leitner.
