It was lovely to welcome Year 1 back into the classroom last week. We have been very impressed with how well they have settled back into school, as well as how well they have adapted with the changes in our building.

In English we have been reading Teddy Bear's Picnic and are very excited to plan and have our picnic next week! In maths we have been recapping numbers to 10. In History we are starting our topic 'How am I making History?' We have started our class timeline that we will continue throughout the year. In science we have been learning about seasonal weathers. In art we drew different sized circles and experimented with overlapping shapes.

 Our topic for the half term is Teddy Travels

Maths - We will continue recapping our knowledge of numbers to 10.

English - We will be writing instructions for a picnic and following these to make our Teddy Bear's Picnic. 

Science - We will be identifying which activities take place in different seasons.

History - We will be creating a memory box through looking at everyone's favourite memories.

Art - We will learn how to draw a continual line to create a spiral.
