During our English lessons, the children have been exploring play scripts. They have enjoyed acting out some scenes, looking at good examples and writing their own scenes from A Midsummer Night's Dream as a play script. In lour maths lessons, we have been exploring angles. We have been looking at the size of angles and comparing them too. In our science lessons, we have finished our plants unit. We have enjoyed looking at what plants need to grow and carrying out detailed experiments. We have also completed our Romans unit in our history lessons. We enjoyed rounding off our learnign with a visit to Richborough Roman Fort, where the children explored a variety of artefacts, visited the museum and enjoyed exploring the remains of Richborough town.
Next half term, we will be starting our new text 'The Iron Man' and we will be exploring and writing recounts in the role of a character. In our maths lessons, we will be exploring lines, building upon our understanding of angles and identifying properties of 2D and 3D shapes. In our geography lessons, we will be be looking our local environment and in science we will also be starting a new unit which is titled 'Making connections'.
