In Maths, we have been learning about ‘Capacity’. We have been learning about standard and non standard units of measurement. We used our knowledge on capacity to solve word problems in litres and millilitres. In Writing, we have been looking at the features of an informative thank you letter. We then wrote our own thank you letter from the Night Gardener using a range of reasons thanking him for his hard work. In Science, we have been learning about the conditions needed for a seed to grow. We are carrying out an experiment comparing a plant with no water, a plant with no sunlight and a plant with all normal conditions. We also drew a life cycle of a plant. In History, we went on an adventure to a castle using Now Press Play thinking carefully about the features of a castle. We also used wooden blocks and Lego to build different structures of a castle. As part of our Outdoor Learning day, we went outside and created our own Islamic Art using chalk in RE. We also enjoyed our Reading Buddy session with Year 1. We had a lovely time sharing our love for reading.
