Year 2 have had a fantastic first two weeks back at school!!
In English we began by looking at riddles and really enjoyed creating our own to trick our friends! This week we have been reading George's Marvellous Medicine and have written recipes for the most truly terrible and disgusting mixtures that we certainly wouldn't want to give to our Grandma's! In maths we have been looking at time, including reading a clock to 5 minute intervals and recognising quarter past and quarter to. In Humanities we have moved onto a new topic of Tunnels, Towers and Turrets and have been learning all about London landmarks and where they are on the map. This linked in with our Design and Technology lessons where we are looking at different types of bridges and are super excited to make our own in a few weeks! In Computing we have been learning all about Google Slides and have learned how to create our own presentation about London. In Science we had a creepy crawly experiment where we looked at which conditions woodlice prefer to live in and in RE we celebrated the Buddist festival of Wesak. We also celebrated World Ocean Day by drawing our favourite sea creatures. We've really enjoyed being back at school and can't wait for our sports day coming soon!
