At Brookfield we are working towards our Rights Respecting Schools silver award and children are learning about the rights of the child.
This week we have been thinking of Article 31 and how it is important for all children to have fun and relax. Some play is good for exercise, it can help you get on with people and make friends, you might learn to take turns and to share, it can help your education and learning, it can help your mental health and it can help you to imagine and be creative.
Article 31 tells us that children have the right to play and take part in cultural activities and they have the right to rest.
Each week, a child in each class will be rewarded with a certificate for their efforts to contribute to one of the articles in our charter.

Our RRSA ambassadors have written a letter to all parents/guardians to let them know of their role in the school. Please click here to read their message.
