In Early Years this week we have been reading the story of Jack and the Beanstalk! What a great story! We have loved pretending to be giants and retelling the story.

In Nursery, the children painted lovely beanstalk pictures and looked at growing different beans. What do you need to help your plants grow? Can you create your own story with a castle in the clouds? We also counted out beans and we have been practising numbers to 10.

In Reception, we had a theatre group in called 'Hobgoblin' come in and put on the show of Jack and the Beanstalk. They ran an amazing workshop after and all the children were fantastic at acting out different scenes from the story. We loved being a scary forest and becoming different characters from traditional fairy tales.
