YEAR 6

Year 6 have had a great couple of weeks. In English, we've been looking at the features of non-chronological reports ready to write our own version next week about an imaginary lizard. In maths, we have been learning to divide fractions. We've had an exciting time in DT. In line with our history topic, the Mayans, we've been learning about Mexican food. This week, we made our own salsa in preparation for the next couple of weeks when we'll be designing and making our own wraps. We've really enjoyed Anti-bullying Week. On Monday, we participated in a live lesson about banter and bullying. On Thursday, each class had a workshop about finding your courage to stop bullying.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:

Maths - decimal numbers

Writing - we will be focusing on writing a non-chronological report

Reading - we will be looking at inference questions

History - we will be learning about Mayan writing and numbers

Science - we will be planning for our Light Day.
