Anti-Bullying Week

We have just finished celebrating a very successful Anti-bullying Week following the theme of "Make a noise about bullying." It began with an exciting Odd Socks Day on Monday where we got together in assembly and celebrated how we are all different and unique.  We also learnt about the difference between banter and bullying. This was developed further in a live online lesson for key stage 2 later on.

On Tuesday and Thursday, OpenView Education visited both sites to perform a theatre show for the children and provide workshops for Year 2 and 6 on the themes of showing kindness and courage.

Success Of The Century

Having introduced the children at Cheam Park Farm to Century just before half term, our school sit at the very top of the leaderboard for the Century Winter Cup - what a fantastic achievement from all of the children ivolved!

Christmas Jumper Swap

The School Eco Squad are excited to announce our first ever Christmas Jumper Swap/Buy! This event will take place in the Kingston site hall on Thursday 23rd November 2023 from 3:20 to 3:40pm, straight after school.

If children would like to donate an unwanted jumper, they can bring it into their class teacher from Monday and exchange it for a token to "spend" on a jumper of their choice after school.  If you don't have an unwanted jumper but just want to purchase one, they can be purchased for £1.

St. Raphael's Fundraising Run

We will be holding our annual fundraising run in aid of St. Rapahel's Hospice.  I previous years, children have worn antlers for a "Rudolph Run" and elf hats for an "Elf Run".  This year, we will be inviting children to wear any festive headwear of their choice (also this is Christmas Jumper Day).  Further information about how you can donate to our local hospice will be shared soon.

Road Safety Week

At Cheam Park Farm Primary Academy we will be taking part in Road Safety Week 2023. This will take place from 19-25 November 2023. Road Safety Week is Brake's biggest annual road safety campaign.

Why is Road Safety Week important?

It is very important for us to raise awareness as every year, more than 1600 people are killed on UK roads and more than 25,000 people suffer serious injuries. Every day, six children are killed or seriously injured on UK roads.

The theme for Road Safety Week 2023 is Let’s talk about SPEED.

Roads around School

Please can you remind your child to look carefully when they are crossing the roads around school, especially if they are walking to or from school alone.

Just a reminder that even though Kingston Avenue is part of the School Streets, cars can still drive down it and so children should still be careful when walking down it.

Punctuality
