What a busy couple of weeks we have had in Reception! Last week every Reception child took part in a Sponsored Scoot and travelled 5 times around our bike track. Thank you very much to everyone who has already sent in their sponsorship money, all money raised will go towards buying resources for your children to enjoy in school. 

We have really enjoyed welcoming parents and carers into school this week for our stay-and-play sessions. We hope that you enjoyed seeing how well your children have settled into Reception and gaining an insight into what your child gets up to in school.

Last week we loved reading 'Mixed' by Aree Chung. In the story, each primary colour lives in a separate part of town until one day when yellow meets blue and makes green! Before long, all of the colours realise that it is OK to mix and lots of beautiful colours are created. We had a go at mixing red, yellow and blue together to see which colours we could make, there were so many!

This week we have read Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We practice using the vocabulary 'big', 'medium' and 'small' to describe different objects in the story.
