What a fantastic last two weeks for Year 4! We've been completely captivated by our Power of Reading text, 'Journey to the Last River'. The children have thoroughly enjoyed delving into the diary entries of the unknown explorer and were fascinated by the incredible illustrations. This inspiring book led to some brilliant non-chronological reports as the children researched and wrote all about the different animals mentioned in the story. Their dedication to finding out more about these creatures really shone through!
In Maths, our learners have been working incredibly hard, diligently recapping important topics like mass and Roman numerals. We are so proud of their persistence and the progress they have made.
Bringing our Geography topic to a close, the children have become experts on the course of a river, from its source to its mouth. They have explored how different parts of a river are used by humans, brilliantly connecting this learning with their scientific knowledge.
As the school year draws to a close, we could not be more impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication shown by all the children in Year 4. All our year 4 learners truly worked their hardest, exceeded expectations, and now have all the tools they need to embark on their journey into Year 5. Well done, Year 4 – what a brilliant year it has been!
