Year 4 have had a very busy week and have all been working incredibly hard across the different subjects.
In maths, they spent some time working on decimals, comparing and rounding them. This is a really important skill because it can help us to know more about money and use these skills when out shopping. In geography, we have been looking at where we get our food from. We have been focusing on chocolate and how we get this delicious treat! In Science, we have been working on our understanding of how sound travels. We really enjoyed speaking and listening to each other on a string telephone!
Everyone really enjoyed World Book Day and we loved seeing everyone in their costumes or pyjamas!
Next week, we will be having a brilliant visit to The Easter Experience where the Easter story will be brought to life with actors. This is a trip that we have been on for many years at Cheam Park Farm and we know that they children will enjoy this immersive experience.
Maths - Next week, we will be consolidating our learning ready for our assessments.
Writing - Next week, we will be writing our informal letters.
Reading -Continuing with reading skills and comprehension.
Geography - We will be learning about where our food comes from.
Science - We will be learning about sound.
