It has been a busy few weeks in Nursery, learning lots of new skills and new matakon signs. The children have continued to develop their rhyming knowledge and enjoyed playing 'silly soup' to create rhyming strings. They drew animals from the books they have read during tummy time, thinking carefully about representing all the parts of the animals body. In maths, they have been exploring the properties of 2D and 3D shapes and going on shape hunts around the environment. Using their motor skills, they had great fun using different tools to help the sea creatures escape that were trapped in the ice by banging and sawing! The children used the benches in PE and explored in different ways to travel safely along them. Many stories were shared this week, especially on World Book Day, where the children dressed up in their amazing costumes!Â
