This week we have been learning:

Maths - we have been identifying sides and vertices in different 2D shapes as well as looking at what makes a shape regular or irregular. 

Writing - we have been learning how to plan, write and then edit our character descriptions based on Katie from the book Katie and the Bathers.

Geography - we have started our new topic "Our Wonderful World" where we have looked at using atlases and Google Earth to identify the different continents as well as the countries and major features in the UK.

Science - we have been looking at life cycles of plants, animals and humans and investigated the question, "Do you get taller as you get older?".

After half term, we will be learning:

Maths - we will be continuing our Shape topic and look at moving 2D shapes on a grid and rotating them clockwise and anticlockwise around a point.

Writing - we will be working on our use of subordinating conjunctions within a sentence and looking at how we can use them to change the structure of a sentence.

Geography - we will be using atlases and Google Earth to find the different oceans across the world.

Science - we will be celebrating Science Week by having a workshop where we will investigate different experiments.
