Over the last couple of weeks, we've had an exciting time continuing to get to know each other, exploring our classroom, and settling into our new school routines.
Last week, we delved into the lovely story 'Peace at Last', which was a perfect opportunity to learn about how to be good listeners. The children did a brilliant job of identifying the different sounds from the story and matching them to the correct things. In Maths, we've been practising our counting skills, using a variety of methods to help us count more accurately.
This week has been just as action-packed! We've been captivated by the story 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea' and even had our very first Drawing Club. We drew different things from the story and wrote secret codes to make magical things happen to our drawings—how exciting! In Maths, we've been busy creating wonderful repeating patterns using a variety of different things. In History, we've been peeking into pictures from our past and talking about how we've grown and changed since we were babies. We also had our first digital skills lesson, learning about how to keep safe online. We had a great time with Mrs Weekes putting lots of plants and flowers into our new planter outside Lilac and Pink, you should come and have a look! What a busy and brilliant two weeks it has been for everyone!
