Year 3 has had a busy and exciting time! We've been delving into the depths of the Earth with a fantastic creative writing project inspired by, "Journey to the Centre of the Earth." The children have written imaginative diaries and persuasive adverts, showcasing their incredible writing skills and vivid imaginations.
In DT, we've been developing our sewing skills, mastering the running stitch and cross stitch. We're well on our way to becoming expert stitchers!
To top it all off, we had a wonderful trip to the Natural History Museum. The children were enthralled by the dinosaur exhibits, the giant blue whale skeleton, and the fascinating displays of rocks and minerals. They had great fun learning about volcanoes and they enjoyed the earthquake simulator. It was a truly memorable experience that brought our learning to life.
We're so proud of Year 3's hard work and enthusiasm. Well done everyone!
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - the children will be looking at multiplication and division so it's time to swat up on TTRS.
Writing - Our text will be "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" and we will be creating news paper report.
Geography - Our Geography topic that we are looking at this half term is "Why do people live near volcanoes?"
Science - Our Science topic that we are looking at this half term is "Forces and magnets."
