This week we have been learning:
Maths - we have been using our known 2, 5 and 10 times table facts to work out division questions. Remember that the children should be starting to explore Times Table Rock Stars now. This extra bit of support at home will help the children's fluency and help them achieve more success in lessons later in the year.
Writing - we have planned, written and then edited a recipe for a pirate stew based on the book "Pirate Stew" by Neil Gaiman.
Geography - we have used Google Earth to find out where the UK and Kenya are and then, using pictures, investigated the similarities and differences.
Science - we have planned and carried out an investigation to see what conditions woodlice prefer.
Over the next couple of weeks, we will be learning:
Maths - we will be looking at using our knowledge of number to measure lengths in centimetres and metres.
Writing - we will be recapping conjunctions and then using them to extend sentences in our character descriptions.
Geography - we will be looking at weather in hot and cold places locally and around the world.
