What a fantastic and busy few weeks it's been for Year 3! The children have truly shone across all their subjects, and we're incredibly proud of their hard work and achievements.
In Maths, we've been tackling the exciting concept of perimeter. The children have enjoyed exploring different simple shapes and learning how to calculate the total distance around their edges. It's been wonderful to see their problem-solving skills develop as they apply their knowledge to various challenges.
Our English lessons have been filled with the thrilling adventures of The Iron Man. The children have shown such creativity in planning and writing their own recounts, bringing the iconic character to life. Their descriptive language and engaging plots have been a joy to read!
Our Geography lessons have taken us on a journey through our local area, exploring both physical and human features. We've been looking at how and why our surroundings have changed over the last 100 years, from natural landscapes to buildings and infrastructure. The children have enjoyed spotting these features around our school and community, and thinking about the stories they tell about our past.
This week the children had the amazing oppertunity to watch the year 4 children perform what they have been learning in the music lesson. They loved listening to what they woould be learning next year on the violins and chelo.Â
Finally, we want to commend all the Year 3 children for their incredible effort and perseverance during the end-of-year assessments. They approached these with such maturity and dedication, and we are incredibly proud of how far they've come this year.
Thank you for your continued support at home. We're looking forward to a fantastic final few weeks of the school year!
