In English, we have been reading the story 'Mrs Armitage on Wheels' by Quinton Blake. We designed our own unique bike and wrote an advert with the purpose to persuade people to buy it. The children came up with the most amazing ideas for their bikes! Last week in maths we explored mass and used the balance scales to compare the weight of objects as well as see how heavy an object is using non standard units. This week in maths we have been using what we have already learnt to answer mixed calculations and identify shapes. In science we have been exploring animal homes in response to the story of 'The Gruffalo'. The children loved making birds nests out of sticks and leaves! We have decided what fruit we would like to use in our fruit skewers in DT and designed what our fruit skewers will look like. We can't wait to make them in a couple of weeks!
