This week we have been learning about:

Maths - we have been recapping our previous learning from throughout the year, including: place value, methods of calculation, fractions, shape and time.

Writing - we read more of our text, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and then we learned about adverbs of manner.

Science - we have been identifying suitable materials based on their properties, thinking about which would be best to make a plant pot.

Geography - we have been looking at the physical features of coastlines with a particular focus on the Jurassic Coast.

DT - we have been learning about links, linkages and pivots and we used our knowledge to make our own moving monsters.

Computing - we looked at Canva for the first time. We will be using it more and more in year 3 and we had fun practicing on it!

Next week we will be learning about:

Maths - we will be recapping our previous learning from throughout the year, including: money, shapes, fractions, time and volume.

Writing - we will be starting a new text, "Tower Bridge Cat" before recapping the different features of a setting description.

Science - we will be creating plant pots from sustainable materials.

Geography - we will be looking at the human features of coastlines with a particular focus on Weymouth.
