It's been a fantastic start to the new school year. In Maths, the children have been working hard on their understanding of place value, confidently tackling numbers up to 1,000. Our English lessons have taken us on a journey to ancient Rome, where we've dived into our new class text, 'Escape to Pompeii.' The children have been busy writing their own detailed recounts of the dramatic eruption of Mount Vesuvius. In Science, we've become dental detectives, learning all about the different types of teeth and their functions. We even had a brilliant time getting our hands dirty and making our very own teeth models!

Maths - Column addition and subtraction with renaming up to 4 digits. 

Writing - Writing a persuasive letter linked to 'Escape to Pompeii'. 

History - How have children’s lives changed? We will be looking at children's lives in Tudor and Victorian times. 

Science - We are looking at teeth, how to care for them and what role they have within the digestive system.
