Thank you to everyone who donated to our Children in Need fundraising.
Week 1 of the Century Winter Cup saw Cheam Park Farm top the leaderboard. The huge efforts have continued over the last 2 weeks, with CPF children keeping their place in the top 5% of schools globally. We'll find out next week if we have managed to stay so high on the leaderboard for the fourth and final week....
We will be holding our annual fundraising run in aid of St. Rapahel's Hospice. In previous years, children have worn antlers for a "Rudolph Run" and elf hats for an "Elf Run". This year, we will be inviting children to wear any festive headwear of their choice (also this is Christmas Jumper Day).
You can donate via the Cheam Park Farm JustGiving page here.

As we all know, a nutritious meal is essential for a child's growth and development. That's why the Mayor of London's initiative to provide free school meals to all Key Stage 2 children in state-funded schools is such a welcome addition to our school community.
Since the introduction of this program, we've been delighted to see an increase in the number of children taking up the opportunity to enjoy a hot, healthy lunch at school. For years 5 and 6 we introduced a Grab and Go option as an alternative to a hot lunch.
We encourage all parents to consider taking advantage of this valuable program. Your child will receive a healthy meal, and you'll save money on your household budget.
Improved nutrition: Free school meals provide children with the nutrients they need to grow and learn.
Reduced food insecurity: Free school meals help to ensure that no child goes hungry.
Increased attendance: Free school meals can encourage children to attend school more regularly.
Improved academic performance: Free school meals can help children to focus and learn better in class.
We believe that every child deserves access to a nutritious meal, and we're proud to support the Mayor of London's initiative to make free school meals a reality for all Key Stage 2 children in London.
Please encourage your child to take advantage of this free and healthy meal option. We're confident that they'll enjoy it! Our full menu can be found here.
We always welcome feedback on your menu. If you would like to give some feedback please do so here.
The Year 6 Eco-squad have been very busy this week working on their video entry for this national competition to come up with an idea to make the school more sustainable and eco-friendly in line with the UN Government’s seventeen goals for sustainable development. Their idea was to ensure that paper and cardboard were being recycled in the right way. They gave an assembly outlining their ideas, put up posters and devised an eco-hero and slogan to help promote their vision. The video has now been submitted. The team will be invited to the Bett conference in January where the winners will be announced.

This is given to children who have impressed their teachers throughout the course of the week. We also give one child per class a 'Be The Best You Can Be' certificate for demonstrating our Excellent Learner values. Finally, we also award a 'Rights Respecting' certificate to one child per class for demonstrating behaviour and attitudes that reflect our Rights Respecting approach in school.
