DOWN SYNDROME AWARENESS MONTH
October is Down Syndrome Awareness month.
Down Syndrome Awareness Month is observed every October to raise awareness, celebrate the achievements of individuals with Down syndrome, and promote their rights and inclusion in society.
It is a month-long observance that involves educating people about the condition, showing support for families and caregivers, and advocating for a more inclusive world for people with Down syndrome.
We will be sharing some information about Down Syndrome throughout September and October with you.
SEND PARENT/CARER SURVEY

The next meeting of Sutton Dyslexia Association is on Tuesday 23rd September 2025, at 8 pm , via Zoom.
The talk will be "An Introduction to Dyscalculia, Maths Difficulties and Maths Anxiety"
The speaker, Cat Eadle, will provide an over view of Specific Learning Difficulties in maths and dyscalculia ( referencing the new 2025 SASC definition )She will examine how it feels to have dyscalculia, the indicators and potential co- occurrences, such as dyslexia.She will share her top tips for supporting learners and signpost resources for dyscalculic adults.
Cat is a qualified teacher and dyscalculia specialist with over 30 years experience. She has written books on the subject and is co-founder of The Discalculia Network C.I.C. She also has a tutoring business, "The Little Maths Room"
