NURSERY
Hello everyone and a very warm welcome to all our new families!
It's been an absolute joy getting to know your wonderful children over these first few weeks. They have been so incredible settling into nursery life and have shown such bravery and curiosity. It's been a real pleasure to see their little personalities shine as they begin to learn our routines and get to know their new friends and teachers.
The children are already enjoying a wide variety of activities, from messy play and painting to singing and storytelling. It's wonderful to see them exploring and engaging with everything on offer. We are so looking forward to the next few weeks when all the children will be attending for their full sessions.
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement in helping your children settle in so beautifully. Your trust and partnership mean so much to us.
A quick heads-up for next week:
Starting Monday, we will be transitioning to our regular drop-off procedure. This means that from now on, children will be dropped off at the classroom door and parents will not be allowed inside the classroom. This is to help the children continue to build their independence and to ensure a smooth start to the day for everyone. We know this can be a big step, but we've found it really helps the children feel more confident and settled.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to speak to one of us at the door.
Thank you for your understanding.
RECEPTION
Starting the new school year in Reception has been a wonderful experience! It has been a pleasure to welcome so many new faces to our Brookfield family, and we've already seen lots of friendships blossom. The children have had a blast exploring their new classrooms and outdoor areas, including the climbing frame, sand pit, and water area. 😃
As a special way to mark the start of their Reception journey, all the children created their very own "first day" hand prints. They have also enjoyed playing across the two classrooms, engaging with a variety of activities designed to help them learn and grow. These activities have included:
Developing fine motor skills
Creating images with 2D shapes
Colour sorting with tweezers
Making patterns with maths link cubes
A variety of art activities
It has been a fantastic week, and we can't wait to see all the amazing things the children will do this year!
