We have had a busy fortnight since coming back for our second half of the Autumn term. In maths, we have been investigating subtraction and have linked this with the use of the whole part-part diagrams that we introduced last half term. The children have lots of opportunities to make their own number equations and have been very successful with their subtraction!
In Literacy this half term we are looking at fairy tales and traditional tales. This started with Jack and the Beanstalk. We have had so much fun using prosody in the exclamation sentences and enjoyed acting out the story through the 'Now Press Play' headphones.
We have started to look at the different classification groups for animals as part of our science topic. This week we found out facts about fish and had great fun recycling plastic bottles to make our fish!
